My experience with Windows98

"You're on crack" Darren insisted to me. Ok, so maybe my theory was a little off, but I did have a whole bunch of evidence to support my thoery.
  1. Microsoft is trying to create unnatural monopoly in the browser market
  2. It has tried to extend that monopoly by impregnating it's already crappy OS with it's even worse browser.
  3. I had previously sworn to never upgrade to Windows98.
So what's my point? That Until Windows98 was released, I'd never had any trouble with my computer. As soon as Windows98 was available for purchase my computer, which was running Windows95, began to have trouble. Oh, first it was the RAM, then it was the video driver, then the sound card driver..... My natural conclusion was that Windows95 has a drop dead code built into it which is designed to persuade users into paying another $90 for a useless upgrade.

How can I prove that I'm not on crack? Well,

  1. I installed Linux onto my computer, and other than the fact that I have no knowledge of how to use the OS, it's working perfectly.
  2. When I finally did install Windows98 on my computer, all the mysterious problems my machine was having, have disappeared.
I think this has got to be more than just a coincidence! Remember, just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean I'm wrong.
